Good intentions.

Spring break is over and we’re trying to get ourselves back on track. The weather was complete shit the entire spring break minus one day, that we had appointments and such. Even that day was cold and windy but at least there was no rain. Sunday before going back was of course lovely out. Although the past two days have been just as bad, today has been hail, rain and just now thunder. Next year our Spring break will be planned and will include going out of town for no less than 3 days and 2 nights. I don’t care if we stay in B-town at some lame ass hotel we are getting away from this house. My secret personal goal is to be able to go to Disney next year during spring break. We’ll see how that pans out.

The kids and I are all really tired of school. Granted not half as tired as we would be if it were public school. My son and I can see on his school dashboard that we are almost done. As of today he’s got less than 19% of school left. We started out with over over 180 lessons in math and language and we’ve only got 30 or so left. It is so nice to be able to show him and myself how much progress we’ve made. This last week we started with multiplcation and division and his cursive is improving daily too. Imagine multiplication, division and cursive in 2nd damn grade. My daughter is getting ready to pick her electives for next year and it is kind of exciting to see what I get to learn along with her. She’s leaning towards video game design, web design and flash animation. I’m leaning towards the latter two but video game design would be cool too I guess.

We celebrated both kids birthdays. We gave in and bought my son a 360 xbox and my daughter got a DS with lots of gadgets and games to go with. I love the DS and within a week went and bought one for my son and I to share. So that was our extravigant income tax purchase this year. Along with paying off credit cards (Bah!). My kids each had their own birthday celebration with relatives instead of a joint one. (So much more to say on that but wont) My daughter had a couple of friends over to spend the night a couple days after hers. It was fun and I think they both enjoyed their birthday.

Husband’s job is the same old same old. Just glad at this point he has a job since so many don’t. I know they’ve cut his company and the amount of stores they have all across the US and Canada so we’ll just give thanks and try not to complain much about the frozen raises part.

Just can’t think of anything else….  almost sounds as if I were writing a letter to my brother. I should do that….

My husband has his 11th boss in less than 6 years. They called the last boss, Richard Noggin. That wasn’t his name…. Its a joke… Richard (Dick) Noggin (head). I love it.

What they think about me…

It is Friday afternoon, just a little after noon even though my wordpress tells me its only a little after 11. Guess I need to change that since it doesnt update itself. I’ve been up for a little over 2½ hours but I have accomplished nothing yet. Unless reading blogs, the online newspaper and drinking coffee counts as accomplishing something.

My husband forgot his phone this morning. I discovered this after the ringing woke me up this morning. Since then he’s gotten two more calls and probably 5 text messages. I haven’t answered the ringing and I don’t plan to but I have texted back the texters and told them he is without a phone. I’m hoping this will reduce the texts for the rest of the day… I did not however text his boss back out of fear I might tell him what a complete and total dickweed I thought he was.   ;)

The kids have yet to start school today, even though today is definitely a school day. We’ll get to that eventually. I’m just not in that big of a rush today. I do need to get going soon though because I’ve got a couple of errands to do today. Nothing thrilling…. pay ortho, go to the grocery store… maybe a dollar store trip.

Yesterday while the husband was off he offered to take us to Target just to look around. while we were there I picked up some onies for Diva so we could try to keep her butt covered a little better. Duke has learned how to get her little boy undies off. He isn’t fixed yet and has been on a hump fest for days.  She looks cute huh? We’ll see if that helps some. In fact once she is doing being in heat I might just keep those things on her to keep her butthole covered… it is not a pretty sight. While at Target we also bought my son a game for his xbox but once we got home it didn’t work so we had to take it back.

TGIFridays is close by and since we didn’t have the kids when we went back we stopped by to get a drink. I had gotten this drink once before and loved it. We are not drinkers in the least. I’ve seen my husband drink probably a total of 10 times in 20+ years but we both love these. We each had one and then shared a third. It was nice to people watch sip a drink and just hang with my husband.

Time to get moving….
