Motherhood.

Posted in Being Mom, Web stuff | Comments Off

Just posting a few links to prove that motherhood while isn’t all that glamorous, they are worth it.

Case 1 – The things I do for you. My own son said this to me the last time he was sick and kept me up most of the night. Only he told me “I need to brush my teeth.” with that tone. This coming from the boy who must be threatened.

Case 2 – The things I did for you. Childbirth and the things it does to your body is not always a pretty thing. When I casually comment that I feel fat, my son will remind me that “I am not fat, I am squishy.” as he gently rubs the squish.

Verdict – The joy you bring me. My son too, sleep giggles and it is one of the best sounds in the world. I wish I could be in that dream with him.

It is all so worth it.

Can we go back to the beginning of spring break?

Today was LONG. It is still relatively early. Dinner has been cooked, the dishwasher is full and running. There is a load in the dryer and a load in the washer. Everything is just as it was before Spring Break and the routine returns.

I did get my daughter initially signed up for home school next school year. The boy will be going to public school until I get annoyed with his school again. She has until July to totally decide on which one she wants to do. I am more than willing to do either but if she’d like to go to public school I think we’d still let it happen.

I also managed to file our taxes this past week as well. You know the one I’ve talked about financing my daughter’s straight teeth. Yeah, that one. When I told her she’d be getting them soon, she wasn’t too happy but so be it. She’ll live, I did and her dad did.

Last night I decided we’d all sleep in my room since we’d been going to bed late I knew the kids would have a hard time falling asleep at their normal bedtime. Well, in the end my son and I ended up leaving and sleeping in my daughter’s room. Her dog, Diva was breathing/snoring so loud we could not fall asleep! That tiny of a dog and she was driving us both insane listening to her.

I’m too tired to write any more… I just can’t concentrate.

Way too fast!

Spring break is over and we head back to school today. No one is terribly happy about this but we’re all getting ourselves together. Our spring break was lovely. We didn’t do anything special or go anywhere thrilling it was just nice to have us all together for a while. Not to mention the staying up late and sleeping in. I can’t even post any pictures since I didn’t really take any, a few but they are still on the camera.

But now we’ve got breakfast , lunches and off to school. Oh and I’m in the process of trying to bring my Mrs Groovy site back. There aren’t any posts on it and I’m trying to make my theme pretty but it’ll be back and I think I’ll use it to highlight groovy things I find on the web.

New toy  Bamboo fun Tablet  It is love...  Messages

My daughter loves to draw, she is pretty good if I do say so myself. She loves Manga which is Japanese Anime. For her Easter and sort of a birthday present we bought her a tablet for her computer.

She’s in heaven and I will most certainly have to borrow it from time to time.
