Bedtime yet?

Today was long, incredibly long. Although I was very productive it was just not a good day… for many reasons but the main one being my husband and his boss. But I’m not even going there.

After I dropped off the kids at their schools I headed to the bank and then to return my daughter’s PE clothes since she wont be needing them now. When I got home my husband had finally made it home and was cranky from being up all night. I ignored him, shut him in our bedroom and started with my daily things.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, fold three loads of clothes and put them away. Then I headed outside to mow the yard before it got hot. Today was 98 btw. After I finished with the yard I started taking the pool down. I have no idea how much water this thing holds but I had to keep stopping when the yard would get flooded and allow it to soak up some of the water. Its still not completely empty and I started at 11am this morning.  Guess I’ll finish that tomorrow.

Took a shower and got dinner stuff set out to thaw. Sat down to surf the net when the drama started. Again… I’m not going there. But I did hear the exact same story about 15 times while my husband retold it to every person he knows.

Made dinner, continued to play with the stupid pool. Tried to sit down and do the internet crap again but then my son was on the other computer and kept asking me this and asking me that and my god I thought my head was going to explode. I had to get out so I did… but it was just a short trip to the store for smokes and a chocolate cookie. Back home the chatter never stopped and now they are in bed, thank you Lord.

My husband is at work, where he shouldn’t be and he’ll be heading to another store around 1am to do another inventory. After that he’s off for 4 days… I hope I live through it.

Gah!

Snooze fest.

I’m bored, I lack motivation and I’m kind of cranky. See I’m sitting her somewhat trapped by a high paying post. Tuesdays they put out posts for 50-500 bucks and damn it I want that 500 one. So I just keep clicking on the stupid thing and reloading it.

My husband worked over-night in his store doing inventory. It felt kind of weird going to bed without him but the dogs kept me company. At some point my son came and slept with me, but I have no idea when that was. He’ll be doing the same thing tonight only in another store.

Got my daughter out of PE which was not required and into art which she really wanted. They are beyond over-crowed and were asking for people to take other classes, she wanted to ask us first. I said hell yes, get out of PE. PE sucks. Art is much more fun and she didn’t have any fun classes anyway. She’s happy and so am I.

LouieMaybe I can get Louie to do my posts for me, since he’s already in my chair.

Laters.

Too soon.

I haven’t been around much… I’ve been online some but not blogging. See this year my son started 1st grade, which means full time. Kindergarten was just half day, well 2.75 hours really and this full day 6.5 hours is killing me. The very first day my husband and I took him to school I was fine, until we hit the car.

It was then and only then that I allowed myself to believe my little boy had grown up and was now a big kid. While he was in kindergarten he was still just a little kid and he missed me constantly. This year, while he still misses me its much easier on him, although much harder on me. I know as time goes on… I’ll cope and I’ll be able to let him grow up. But in the mean time I’m gonna pout.

Back on track.

I began trying to lose weight in January. I lost about 20 pounds! Yay! But over the summer I didn’t walk and I didn’t really watch what I was eating so I didn’t gain any weight back but I didn’t lose anymore either.

I’ve never been the type to count calories in food. I just eat what I like without over eating. Once I started paying attention to the amount of calories in food I knew I wanted a calorie chart so I could keep track of mine.

So with school back in session I decided it was time to start looking online for a different calorie counter. I came across myfitnesspal and it’s awesome. I’m going to join after I’m done here and I don’t ever have to worry about paying for anything, unlike most calorie tracking sites that get you there, then for extra features you have to pay. Myfitnesspal, offers the ability to track meals and exercise as well journal about your results. It works with all kinds of diet plans if you want to count carbs or calories. The calorie counter is super easy to use and will help you make better food choices.

Fire Rainbow.

The rarest of all naturally occurring atmospheric phenomena.

The picture was captured this week on the Idaho/Washington border, the event lasted about one hour.

Clouds have to be cirrus, at least 20k feet in altitude, with just the right amount of ice crystals and the sun has to hit the clouds at precisely 58 degrees.

Isn’t it just beautiful?
